A return visit to the club for Charles Everitt. Charles is a serving Police Officer who specialises in wildlife and environmental crime, and is currently seconded to the UK National Wildlife Crime Unit as their Scottish Investigative Support Officer.
He also has had his own photography and framing business since 1998. Additionally Charles is also the published author of ‘Waters of Leith, Natures Course’ and Forthshore: East Lothian’s Coastline’ both of which are inspirational photographic stories of their titles.
Charles was the runner up in the Scottish Nature Photography Awards 2016 in the Botanical category.
Tonight Charles took us through his photo’s of East Lothian from Longniddry to Tantallon Castle. He held our club captivated with both the quality of his images and his easy manner in presenting. Furthermore Charles shared with us a few locations which are often missed for the simple reason they are slightly off the beaten track but judging by his images are well worth a visit.
A very enjoyable and informative evening was had by all and we look forward to inviting Charles back to share with us his next project for presentation.
Next week, we have our own John Blair (former Chairman) and he will be taking us through part one of two presentations of his trips to the Isles.
As always, visitors are encouraged.
I look forward to seeing you all next week.
