Christmas and other updates

This has been sent to all members by email…

I have a few items to advise all members about, but I’ll try to keep this short and hopefully simple.

Christmas Dinner, Laird & Dog,
Menu and details are available in the club. Please sign up and give your menu choices ASAP, and no later than 4/12/18.
We also have a Christmas Hamper raffle prize to raise club funds, so please bring in any donations, and leave them in the Hamper at the club.

Old Prints
We have been clearing and tidying, and there are a number of mounted prints from previous competitions which are taking up space. If any are yours and you want them back, please collect them before 31/12/18. After that the mounts will be recycled for club use, and unwanted prints destroyed.

It’s a Knockout!
A new event for us for the first meeting in January. It will be a “last man standing” format, with images being projected two at a time. The better image (members discussion/ votes decides) stays up, the losing image is replaced. Winner is last image remaining. Please bring in any two images you wish to enter in normal DPI format – JPEG, maximum 1600 pixels wide x 1200 pixels high.

Next Year
The Committee is currently planning the syllabus for 2019-20. This is your club, so any contacts you have for speakers, ideas for activities or volunteers to present talks on a photo subject you know about would be appreciated. We will collect them on Tuesday next, but if you’re not about please email Mike.

Lastly, we have cleaned up the mailing list (we hope) to comply with this Data Protection requirement. If you are getting this email and don’t want to receive anything, let me or any member of the Committee know. You will be getting periodic Scottish Photographic Federation (SPF) emails forwarded from me passing on information from the SPF, to whom MCC is affiliated. Again, let me know if you want them stopped. Please do not “unsubscribe” via SPF, as that will cut off the club and all members.
